How fake eyelashes are applied

Fake eyelashes, eyelash extensions or whatever else you fancy calling them are the same thing and are becoming highly sort after in the world of beautiful women. If you say fake eyelashes you may get mistaken for having the old type of eyelash extensions which were a complete set of false eyelashes which would be glued to the eyelash in on go. This technique and product had is flaws and everybody knew this, for its time this type of false eyelashes served its purpose and because there wasn’t any other kind of false eyelashes available people had to make do, it was either a case of having them or not having them.

So now along comes the new kind of false eyelashes which are semi permanent eyelash extensions made of synthetic materials and sometimes you will find technicians will have mink and even real human hair being used for the eyelash extensions, these are top of the range products, not many technicians will have them available but if you do manage to find them expect to pay ALLOT for them!

Now eyelash extension treatments will involve the following:

1)    Firstly you get the client to clean remove contact lenses if applicable, all make up and any traces of natural oils. The eye area needs to be completely clean.
2)    Now take the bottom eyelashes down so they will not get stuck to the top ones, this would mean the eyes would not open properly. It is very important to do this so the individual eyelashes don’t get caught on them.
3)    Look through the eyelashes and select the donor lash* upon which you put the individual lash onto at this point making sure the lashes either side don’t stick to the previous lash that has been applied.
4)    On the application of each eyelash wait for the glue to dry and move onto the next one, repeat this process until you have created the desired affect.

*A donor lash is a middle lash in between a newly grown eyelash and a mature lash, you would not want to put an extension on a new lash and you wouldn’t want to attach an extension to a mature lash as it will fall out soon.
